Cheerleading


Girls that will be in grades 7 through 12 in the fall are invited to try-out for the 2015 Cheerleading Squad. Clinics will be held Monday, April 13 - Thursday, April 16 and Monday, April 20 - Thursday, April 23 beginning at 3:30 each afternoon. Try-Outs will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 4:00. Parent meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 30.

Regional Geography Bee


Congratulations to Robert Loveall and Thomas Stephenson who represented ACS at the Regional Geography Bee on March 21. Both students did very well.

Robert scored 33 points in the two rounds. He was tied with another student from Blue Ridge in VA. They both earned the 2nd and 3rd spot to be in the final round. He earned a superior ribbon overall.

Thomas scored 23 points in the two rounds. He did not make it to the final round. He earned an excellent ribbon overall.

Sports Team Pictures - Individual and team sports pictures will be taken for golf, tennis, varsity baseball, and soccer on April 2nd.

Re-enrollment forms and fee -  due April 2

Elementary Trip payments - 2nd and 5th grade class trip payment due April 1st

Physicals - Athens Bone and Joint - Monday, April 27th for rising 6th - 12 grade

Parents Praying - each Tuesday morning 7:20 - 7:45 in the Band Room.

High School FCA prayer meeting - each Tuesday morning at 7:25 in Bicentennial Hall.

3/31/15 - Middle School Baseball team won 24 - 1 versus Loganville Christian in 3 innings.

3/31/15 - Varsity Boys Track Team did a great job at the City Meet, they came in 1st place against Cedar Shoals, Clarke Central, Oconee, North Oconee, and Athens Academy.

3/30/15 - Middle School Baseball team defeated Cedar Shoals 7-1.

3/30/15 - JV girls soccer team lost to Oglethorpe 2-1.

3/30/15 - Varsity boys soccer team defeated Oglethorpe 3-1.

3/27/15 - Varsity Baseball team defeated Commerce 10-9.

3/26/15 - Varsity Baseball team defeated Providence Christian 1-0 in 9 innings.

3/26/15 - Varsity Soccer Eagles had a strong area win at Georgia Military College, beating the Bulldogs 7-1.

3/26/15 - Middle School Track team had a great home meet. Girls 1st place; Boys 2nd place.

3/24/15 - Varsity boys soccer team hosted Athens Academy. The Eagles were up 2-1 at halftime but just couldn't hold the lead vs. the Spartans and eventually lost 6-2.

3/23/14 - JV Soccer teams - split their games at East Jackson. The girls lost 6-1. The JV boys team won 4-2.

3/23/15 - Girls Tennis team won against Tallulah Falls.

3/23/15 - Varsity Golf team - finished 3rd at the Athens Academy Invitational Tournament held at Jennings Mill Country Club.

3/20/15 - Middle School track - competed in a huge meet with 16 schools. Girls placed 1st Overall, and the Boys placed 6th Overall.

3/18/15 - Varsity Baseball team defeated George Walton after being down 11-5 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, the Eagles rallied to tie the game in the 7th and won the game in the 9th inning

3/17/15 - Middle School Track team had a great day at Oconee High School versus Oconee, North Oconee, Westside, Russell Middle, Haymon Morris. The girls team is still undefeated.

3/17/15 - Varsity Baseball team defeated Lakeview Academy 6-0 to move to 6-2 on the season.

3/16/15 - Varsity Baseball - Lucas Reynolds pitched a perfect 5 innings as the Eagles defeated Lakeview Academy 10-0 in 5 innings.

3/10/15 - Varsity Baseball team defeated Rockdale County 6-5. The Eagles move to 4-2 on the season.

3/9/15 - Girls Tennis team defeated Cedar Shoals 3-2.

3/9/15 - Middle School Baseball Team defeated Loganville Christian 15-5.

3/9/15 - Wrestling News - Three wrestlers chosen to the Athens Banner-Herald 2015 All-Area: Zane Wolf made the first team at 145. Travis Kellogg and David Sanford were chosen for the second team.
