TUITION and TECHNOLOGY FEES
As you know, we had a small tuition increase for the 2010-11 school year. Please remember that, last year, we only raised tuition 2%, and, we did not raise any other fees. Last year’s move did not match the cost of living increase in our area, which was 4.5%. Unfortunately, we could not do this for another year.
Even with this year’s increase, our tuition and fees continue to be significantly lower than other private and Christian schools in northeast Georgia. When you compare our tuition and fees to the tuition and fees of other private schools, you will see that Athens Christian continues to offer the very best value in Christian education in this area.
Just a reminder that the technology fee will be used to pay for Edline, FACTS, and other technology updates we have planned for the future. All of these services are designed to benefit both the parents and students of ACS. Many, many families have told us how much they appreciate the School’s move to Edline.
Please know that we are doing everything possible to reduce costs and be a good steward of our resources. If you ever have any question about tuition or fees, please feel free to contact the School’s business office. We will be more than happy to answer any question you may have.
ENTRANCE TESTS…

CHEERLEADERS DO GREAT JOB
The cheerleaders have done an outstanding job this year under the direction of Miss Cassidy Cummings. The “Eagles Nest” cheering section has been awesome. The pep band has added a lot to the excitement of the games. Thanks to the cheerleaders for doing a great job.
WRESTLING UPDATE
The Eagle wrestling team capped off another successful year finishing 8th place in the Georgia High School Athletic Association State meet. This is the third year in a row the team has finished in the top ten of the state meet. Leading up to the state meet the team finished 4th out of 20 teams in the Area 2A meet qualifying 8 wrestlers to state. ACS led the Area with 3 champs: Cody Legg, Eli Ballard, and Neil Homer. Also qualifying for ACS were Tim Campodonico, MacLean Carpenter, Ben Grisel, Tim Sparks, and Christos Martinez.
ACS finished the GHSA State Wrestling Meet with 4 placers. Ben Grisel earned state runner-up honors at the 152 lb. class, Tim Campodonico finished 3rd for the second year in a row at heavy weight, Cody Legg finished 4th in the 103 lb. class, and Eli Ballard had to settle for 6th place after being injured in his semi-final match while leading 7-2. Another great season as ACS continues to build a strong tradition in wrestling
A HEARTBREAKER
The Eagle Gym was packed last Friday night to see our Eagles’ exciting season come to an end with a 2-point overtime loss to Southwest Atlanta Christian (62-60). We’re all proud of you guys. Your are #1 with us.
