Art Instruction
Art Classes
All students currently enrolled in K-5 - 7th grade are eligible. Mrs. Salie has taught art for over 20 years and is a freelance illustrator when not in the classroom. Her students will study drawing and painting, ceramics, sculpture, printing and textiles in small groups from their grade level. Classes will meet once a week for the entire year for $45/month, supplies included. Space is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis. Our state of the art computer lab gives our high school students the opportunity to take classes in Graphic Design. |

ACS sixth graders Emmie Stumbo and John Loveall participated in Athens Music Teachers Master Class Saturday, January 28, at Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Stumbo performed a Bach Minuet; and Loveall played Czerny’s Op. 777, No. 5. The students are pictured with Madison County tenth grader, Bethany Nunez, who also participated in the event and UGA professor, Dr. Martha Thomas, who was the clinician. Their instructor, Sharon Reid, teaches at ACS.
