2011 Summer Schedule

this week (5/16-20) will be the last week until the week of June 14^th. We will meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 pm each week, except for the week of July 4^th. Players need to make plans to attend the summer tennis camp at ACS. Camp is June 20-24, from 9-12 each day, cost $100.

2011 Results

Congratulations to the following players for being selected to the Region 8A All Region team:

1^st Team – Rebecca Beacham

2^nd Team – Davis Warnell, Sarah Davis, Mackenzie Dean

The Eagles complete the tennis season, having been led by a strong Senior class of Rebecca Beacham, Sarah Davis, Mackenzie Dean, Davis Warnell, Daniel Zimpfer, and Jared Aindinder. The future looks bright as both teams return a lot of experience for next season. All worked very hard and improved greatly over the season. The boys had several young and new players, but each showed continued development. 2 of our Seniors are going to continue their tennis careers at the college level, with Davis Warnell attending Young Harris College and Rebecca Beacham going to North Greenville University in the fall.

2010 Results

The Eagle tennis teams completed another successful season in 2010. The girls finished their season 9-5, 3rd in Region 8A, qualifying for the Class A State Tennis Tournament. The season ended with a first round loss to the eventual State Runner-up. The Lady Eagles were led by 1st Team All Region Selection Rebecca Beacham, 2nd Team All Region Selection Sarah Davis, and 3 year starter McKenzie Dean. The future looks bright as the top 7 players return for next season, as well as a strong group of Freshmen.

The boys finished 4th in the Region, with a record of 6-6. The first round opponent in the State Tournament turned out to be the State Champions for 2010. Leaders for the team were 1st Team All Region Selection Caleb Wethington and 2nd Team All Region Davis Warnell.
