National Honor Society Induction

The annual induction ceremony for the ACS Chapter of the National Honor Society will be held Thursday, January 25 at 7:30 PM in the ACS Drama Center. Students in grades 10-12 who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, character and service are selected for membership. Parents and friends of inductees are invited to attend the induction ceremony.

 

College Financial Aid Meeting

January 22, Financial Aid Meeting at 7:00 pm. Targeting Juniors and Senior - Class of 2018 and 2019. Presented by Brenda Vaughn from the Georgia Student Finance Commission. She will discuss the college financial aid process including HOPE Scholarship/Grant and FAFSA.

 

Twirlers Attend JanFest

ACS Twirlers attended Janfest at the Classic Center on Saturday, January 20. The twirlers worked on 1, 2, & 3 baton
instruction from the UGA majorettes.

Students and teachers alike look forward to celebrating the 100th Day on February 5th! Since they are now 100 days smarter, students will enjoy activities surrounding this big milestone in the school year!

7th Grade Immunization Requirements

Georgia's immunization requirements for children attending seventh grade have been revised to align with the current Recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

Effective July 1, 2014, all children born on or after January 1, 2002 who are attending seventh grade, and children who are new entrants into a Georgia school in grades eight through twelve, must have received one dose of Tdap vaccine and one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine.
