Athens United: Hurricane Harvey Relief - We were overwhelmed by everyone’s gracious donations and generosity for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Thank you for your willingness to serve and for being such a special part of our ACS family!!

Local Mission Outreach

  • Hunger Bowl - Each year, we partner with The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia to feed those in our community who are hungry by collecting canned goods.  This year, we surpassed our goal of 50,000 pounds of food, and ended up collecting over 66,000 pounds of food for the Northeast Georgia Food Bank this Thanksgiving season.
  • Operation Christmas Child - each year our students, faculty, staff and families work together to create shoeboxes for OCC who spread God's love to children around the world during the Christmas season.  This year we collected 825 shoeboxes!

Mission Trip to Dominican Republic

Athens Christian School teachers Mrs. Lindsay Blackmon and Mr. Jack Bamford along with 12 students and adults served in the Dominican Republic in July 2016.  The group helped build a wall around The Ark, a residential children's facility that hosts 65Â Dominican children in 7 different homes.  The purpose of the wall is to deter theft that has been a problem at The Ark.  Their goal was that the team members learn, fellowship, and encourage the community and its workers.
