Homecoming

Athens Christian School celebrated its 38th Homecoming Friday night, October 10, 2014.  It was a lovely evening as eight seniors and one representative from each underclass graced the football field at Eagle Stadium.  The festivities took place during halftime of the ACS/Towns County game.

Senior, Anna Martin (right), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Martin of Jefferson, was crowned 2014 Athens Christian Homecoming Queen by high school principal, Dr. Bruce Hockema.  Anna White (left), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. White of Athens, was awarded first runner-up.

This was a special Homecoming celebration for Athens Christian School as the newest addition, Founders’ Hall, was dedicated at pre-game activities.  Founders, Drs. Buhl and Lois Cummings, were honored with a reception and remarks made by Headmaster, Steve Cummings, and long-time friend and evangelist, Tom Gilliam. A great climax to the beginning of ACS’ 45th year in Athens!
