ACS Mystery Theater


The ACS Mystery Theater presents Joseph Kesselring's classic Arsenic and Old Lace. 

Performances:
Tues, Feb 9th, 7:30 PM (preview performance), all tickets $ 5. 
Thurs & Fri, Feb 11th & 12th, 7:30 PM.  Students & Seniors $ 8,
Adults $ 12,  Family $ 30. 
Sat, Feb 13 Dinner Theater, 6PM.  Students and Seniors $ 12, Adults $ 15 (guests attending only the performance will pay the Friday ticket price, curtain time is 7:00).
House opens fifteen minutes before opening curtain.

ACS Twirlers


ACS Eaglette twirlers attended JanFest at the Classic Center in January.  JanFest is a one day clinic ran by the UGA auxiliaries.  The girls learned one, two, and three baton tricks as well as a routine that they performed for their parents.

Those attending were: Caitlin Parker, Reagan Fields, True Foley, Elizabeth MacDonald, Ally Gamber, and Jocelyn Parker.  They are pictured below with Maranda Williams, UGA Feature Twirler.

The Eaglettes also performed at the ACS basketball game Saturday, January 30.  They are getting ready for their competition in March.

Mock Trial


The ACS High School Mock Trial did a great job competing at the State Bar of Georgia's Mock Trial Competition on Saturday, January 30. The ACS Teams went 2-2 on the day, and both losses came against the eventual tournament champion, Westminster. The ACS Defense Team beat North Oconee in Round One, and the ACS Prosecution Team beat Jefferson High School in Round Two. Chase Hockema and Daniel MacDonald won Best Attorney Awards, and Christina Mark and John Loveall won Best Witness Awards during the competition.

Middle School Play


Middle School Play "Inspector Detector and the Case of the Precious Treasure" by Christopher Gieschen will be performed on Tuesday, February 23 at 7:00 pm.

The cast members are as follows: Robert Loveall, Avery Williams, Raegan Reinking, Noah Walker, Elizabeth MacDonald, Elijah Duckworth, Adam Shuman, Isaiah Dotson, and Jessika Stanley.

When Pauline Precious (Raegan Reinking) inherits her grandfather's estate, she tumbles into an evil plot filled with zany excitement. The yucky Baroness of Braunschweiger (Avery Williams) also has her eyes set on the treasure. Along with her bumbling helpers Mack (Adam Shuman) and Jack (Elijah Duckworth), she tries to snatch the treasure away from poor Pauline. Enter our hero, Inspector Detector (Robert Loveall), who is prepared to solve mystery after mystery (such as the haunting ghost) and defeat the Baroness and her unsteady duo.

Feb 2 - Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Prince Avenue Christian 47 - 39

Feb 1 - Sophomore Cody Boyd, Varsity Basketball, was selected Player of the Week by the Athens Banner Herals.

Jan 30 - Wrestling team had a great weekend qualifying 6 wrestlers to Sectionals and also having 1 alternate.

Jan 30 - Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams defeated Tallulah Falls.  Girls score 60-32; boys score 46-31.

Jan 29 - Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams defeated Athens Academy.  Girls score 40 - 28; boys score 57 - 50.

Jan 25 -  Girls GOLD basketball team defeated Athens Academy 22-7.

Jan 16 - Youth Girls GOLD basketball team defeated Athens Academy, 29-7.

Jan 15 - Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams defeated Prince Avenue Christian, 49-35 was the score for both games.

Jan 12 - Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams defeated George Walton Academy. Girls score 49-39; Boys score 65-31.

Jan 12 -  The very young mat eagles had a good night wrestling Johnson and Athens Academy. The eagles won 11 out of 17 matches.

Jan 9 - Wrestling team finished in 4th place out of 11 teams at the Area Duals.

Jan 9 - Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Hebron Christian Academy 56 30

Jan 9 - Girls Youth PURPLE Basketball team defeated Oconee 17-16

Jan 8 - Youth Girls GOLD basketball team defeated Athens Academy 19-8

Dec 12 - Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams defeated Towns County.  Girls score 58 - 15 and boys score 59 - 30.

Dec 11 -  Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Tallulah Falls, 57 - 35.
