Parent & Grandparent Visitation

Parents Visitation on Wednesday April 29 K3 - K5 at 8:30 and 1st - 5th grade at 9:30.

We are pleased to welcome our K3 - 12th grade Grandparents on Thursday, April 30 from 9:30 - 10:30.  

Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the Elementary Library Monday, April 27 - Friday morning, May 1. Please stop by and visit between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.


We are all getting geared up for the Jog-a-Thon!!!  Pictured below in their 2015 Jog-a-Thon T-shirt are Roxie, Brittany, and Caleb a few of our TOP leaders in collecting donations for the new activity shuttle bus!

Zaxby's Night -- sponsored by Mrs. Bridges' 3rd grade class.  Stop by the Zaxby's on Hull Road on Tuesday, April 28 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and enjoy delicious Zaxby's chicken, a fresh salad, or a refreshing milkshake.  10% of the total sales will go to ACS.  

Dress Code for Jog-a-Thon --- Knee length shorts for boys.  Girls - may wear knee length shorts if running; if not running - capris or slacks (no jeans, no leggings).  No flip flops.

Dismissal for Jog-a-Thon day ---  Parents should send all permission slips by next Friday morning if there is a change in pickup or if there is permission given to ride with another.  Elementary parents should check out with their students teacher as well as the front office, and Middle School and High School students should check out through the front office. 

You may pre-purchase tickets in the front office Monday - Thursday morning from 7:30 - 7:50 and during lunch. 
Ticket prices:  50 cents per ticket, $ 5 (10 tickets); $ 10 (21 tickets); $ 20 (43 tickets).  Mrs. Ferguson and Mrs. Hayes will be manning two canopy tents at the track next Friday for you to purchase tickets throughout the day.       

There will be no bus service on Jog-a-Thon Friday, May 1.

Spring Production

Reserved seats may be purchased by contacting Cathy Hayes at or calling the office at 706-549-7586. Dress Rehearsal performance Thursday night, April 20 will begin at 7:00 pm. Only 100 seats available. Pre-purchased tickets $ 5, or $ 7 at the door.

Calendar Change - Grandparent Visitation Day for Grades 3-12 that was scheduled for May 1 will be moved back a day to April 30.

Physicals - Athens Bone and Joint - Monday, April 27th for rising 7th - 12 grade

Parents Praying - each Tuesday morning 7:20 - 7:45 in the Band Room.

High School FCA prayer meeting - each Tuesday morning at 7:25 in Bicentennial Hall.

4/22/15 - Varsity Baseball team defeated Washington Wilkes 29-0.

4/21/15 - Varsity Boys soccer team finished its regular season schedule at home with a 5-1 win over Lincoln County. The team will be in the state playoffs on May 1.

4/18/15 - Varsity soccer team defeated Lincoln County 6-2.

4/16/15 - JV Girls soccer team lost to Jefferson 4-1.

4/16/15 - Boys JV soccer team lost to Jefferson 2-0.

4/14/15 - Varsity soccer team lost against Monsignor Donovan 0-4. Keeper Drew Raught had 9 saves.

4/14/15 - Varsity Baseball team defeated Athens Academy 12-2 in 5 innings

4/4/15 - Varsity baseball team collected 15 hits as they defeated Washington-Wilkes 12;2 in five innings.

4/2/15 - Varsity soccer team beat Oglethorpe County 4-3. This win brings the team's season record to 5-4.

4/3/15 - Varsity baseball team defeated Towns Co 10-1 to move to 11-5 overall and 7-3 in region play.

4/2/15 - Varsity baseball team defeats Towns Co 11-1 in 6 innings.

Summer Camps are right around the corner!  We have athletic camps, fine arts camps, and academic camps.

ATTENTION YOUTH CHEERLEADERS! This camp is for all girls who are entering grades 1-6 at ACS in the fall. Camp is where you will be measured for uniforms, meet your coaches, and learn vital material for the cheer season. Questions? Girls that will be in grades 7 through 12 in the fall are invited to try-out for the 2015 Cheerleading Squad. Clinics will be held Monday, April 13 - Thursday, April 16 and Monday, April 20 - Thursday, April 23 beginning at 3:30 each afternoon. Try-Outs will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 4:00. Parent meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 30.
